Service Description
Our 10-week Puppy Foundations Class is designed to help your puppy develop the confidence, focus, and essential life skills needed to successfully navigate the world. Through structured group sessions, puppies learn how to engage with their handler, remain focused in the presence of distractions, and develop calm, appropriate behaviour around other dogs, people, and new environments. The group environment provides valuable opportunities for puppies to learn neutrality, patience, and self-control while experiencing real-world distractions in a safe and controlled setting. Rather than encouraging uncontrolled interaction, we focus on teaching puppies how to confidently exist around distractions while maintaining a connection with their handler. Training may include: Building engagement and communication between puppy and handler. Basic obedience foundations such as sit, down, stay, recall, and loose lead walking. Developing focus and attention around distractions. Learning calm behaviour around dogs, people, and new environments. Confidence building through structured exposure to new experiences, sounds, surfaces, and situations. Introduction to appropriate socialisation and neutrality. Developing impulse control, patience, and emotional stability. Teaching owners how to effectively guide and support their puppy. This program is designed to help puppies build the foundations required for everyday life, creating confident, adaptable dogs that can participate calmly in a variety of environments. Every puppy is an individual, and training is adapted to suit different temperaments and learning abilities. Our goal is to help you build a strong relationship with your puppy while developing the skills needed for a reliable companion.
Cancellation Policy
# Training Terms & Conditions By booking a training session, you agree to the following terms and conditions. ## Health & Vaccination The health and safety of our dogs, clients, and staff is our priority. All dogs attending training must be up to date with a **C5 vaccination (C3 plus kennel cough)**. The most recent vaccination must have been administered **at least two (2) weeks prior** to the scheduled training session. Proof of vaccination may be requested before your appointment. Dogs showing signs of illness, including coughing, vomiting, diarrhoea, or any contagious condition, must not attend training. Please contact us to reschedule your appointment. ## Payment & Cancellation A deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance must be **paid in full before the commencement of your training session**. If you need to cancel or reschedule, we require **a minimum of 24 hours' notice**. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice will result in your **deposit being non-refundable**. ## Session Requirements Please arrive on time with your dog on a secure **lead and collar**, and bring **poo bags** for clean-up. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs throughout the session. Clients must disclose any history of aggression, bite incidents, medical conditions, or significant behavioural concerns before the first training session so we can provide the safest and most appropriate training. ## Owner Responsibility Dogs remain the responsibility of their owner or handler at all times. While every reasonable precaution is taken to provide a safe training environment, participation in dog training carries inherent risks. By attending, you accept responsibility for your dog's behaviour and for any injury, loss, or damage caused by your dog during or in connection with training. ## Code of Conduct We are committed to providing a safe, respectful, and positive environment for everyone. Abusive, aggressive, threatening, or inappropriate behaviour towards **dogs, clients, or staff** will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Anyone displaying such behaviour will be asked to leave the session immediately and, at our sole discretion, may be refused or permanently banned from attending any future training sessions or using our services. Our training methods are based on respect, patience, and the welfare of every dog. We ask all clients to support these values throughout their training journey.
